TruCensus Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Pure Chaos Graphix LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the TruCensus app and the trucensus.com website. By using TruCensus, you agree to these Terms.

1. The app

TruCensus is an inventory and asset-tracking tool. It provides photo and video counting, QR tags, barcode and label reading, movement history, reminders and reports. Version 1 is free and runs offline on your device.

2. License

We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control for your own or your organization's inventory work. You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it,
  • resell the app or redistribute it, or
  • use the app for any unlawful purpose.

3. Your data

You own the content you create in the app, including photos, videos and records. That content is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing it up, for example by exporting reports. We do not hold a copy, so we cannot recover lost data.

4. AI counts and accuracy

Automated detection, OCR and barcode results are estimates. These features are meant to help you count, and they don't replace a human check. Review the results before relying on them. TruCensus counts, scores and values are not audited figures, and they do not give accounting, tax, insurance or legal advice.

5. App stores

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the app or its support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, Apple's only obligation, if any, is to refund the purchase price, which is zero for a free app.

6. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, PURE CHAOS GRAPHIX LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS OR INVENTORY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR US $50.

8. Trademarks

TruCensus and the TruCensus logo are trademarks of Pure Chaos Graphix LLC.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app or these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
