FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Choose a user on the first screen and start. Version 1.0 works fully offline.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your device. It isn’t synced or backed up to our servers. Export regularly (More > PDF, CSV or Excel) to keep a copy.

Why didn’t TruCensus Scan detect an item?

On-device detection recognizes common items such as chairs, laptops, monitors and bottles. Other items (pallets, power tools) can be counted by tapping the photo. Low-confidence items go to the review queue, where you can confirm, reject or relabel them, and TruCensus remembers your corrections.

Does it count people?

No. People and animals are never counted.

How do QR tags work?

Every asset gets a QR tag that you can print. Scan it with the camera to open the asset.

How do I turn on Face ID?

Go to More and switch on Face ID unlock. Your device passcode still works as a fallback.

Reminders aren’t showing up

Allow notifications for TruCensus in your device Settings. Reminders arrive at 9:00 AM local time.
